I remember the first time Mom brought a pack of old printed pictures from back home; taken back when I was too young to care about boys but old enough to dress myself. Such wonder! A real moment, trapped on a piece of special paper that I don't remember taking, but boy did it warm my heart decades later. Literally my best-kept physical treasures til' this day. I know it will be no different for you in a few decades or for our children as they grow into their own.
My deep connection with photography stems from this sense of nostalgia and the longing for keeping record of things and moments; especially people: The most important element in my photographs.
